Alexzia grew up as a military brat who moved around quite a bit before her family permanently settled in Bellevue. The spirit of adventure led her to work in a variety of roles: a Head Start teacher in Brooklyn, a 7th grade teacher in Guyana, South America, a summer camp leader in New Orleans, and a supervisor at an Omaha zoo. She brings these experiences to philanthropy with the goal of effectively supporting the people who work to improve our community.
Alexzia is a lifelong learner. She earned Bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Spanish from the University of Kansas before securing a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies from Tulane University in New Orleans. Alexzia received another Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City.
Alexzia enjoys reading, watching British TV shows, playing trivia games, traveling to visit friends and family, sewing, boxing, and walking her cat.
