The start of the millennium promised forward progress and unimaginable change. A quarter century later, and yes… there certainly have been changes that many couldn’t imagine, that’s for sure.
The last several months, our team attended various community sessions and met directly with organizations concerned with how new policies will negatively impact their clients, teams, and work overall. We seek to learn more about the ways organizations are being impacted and how we can be most supportive during what is sure to be a prolonged period of uncertainty. We continue to engage in these spaces and welcome dialogue about current events during site visits and other meetings.
What is clear to us is that now is the time for folks to activate. Forward progress doesn’t happen on its own, rather through sustained collaborative efforts. We are encouraged to see how people are showing up for each other. The road ahead will certainly be trying, and supporting one another will continue to be crucial.
Our mission and values remain: we are committed to doing what we can to see our community become a more equitable place to live. Our community—everyone. The work required to see *positive* change isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon—and we’re in it for the long run.
We’re a month into the new year, a time that often inspires many to reflect on what they wish to leave behind and what they aim to improve. New year, new resolutions. So, what will you leave behind? What will you improve? Who will you collaborate with? How will you activate?
What will you resolve to do?
