Autism Research and Services
Autism is a growing complex developmental issue facing 1 in 68 children today (U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).
Nebraska has several groups working on providing services for children on the spectrum, but struggles to meet the need. Our family has an interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) research, education and training for providers, as well as providing increased services for the growing population. This is a new priority area for our family, and we seek to understand the scope of the issue in Nebraska. We are currently funding the Project for Autism Data through Autism Action Partnership. We anticipate the results of this project to be released Fall of 2015.
We anticipate putting out a request for proposals utilizing pivotal response training (PRT) late summer 2015.
